Sarah Fitzgibbons is a therapist and consultant in Rochester, NY who has spent the past fourteen years working with couples, parents and young children. She focuses on attachment, relational issues and trauma recovery.

Sarah specializes in working with adoptive and kinship parents, parents who have trauma or attachment issues in their own childhood, and parents who desire to strengthen the emotional connection with their children. She also frequently works with individuals and couples with pregnancy & postpartum issues.

Sarah has spent her career working with children, couples and families impacted by grief, loss, attachment issues, transition and trauma. She believes strongly in the power of relationship & play to facilitate healing and growth.

Her clinical work is based on the principles of attachment theory, psychodynamic work, and the evidenced-based practice of Child-Parent Psychotherapy and Emotional Focused Therapy for couples.
